Our Mission

Noon Weddings & Events is a nonprofit career development program that empowers motivated individuals with deep financial need and limited access to gainful employment by offering immersive training in the events industry. By choosing Noon, you’re not only creating unforgettable events—you’re helping young adults gain real-world skills and build meaningful careers through our hands-on training program.

Meet the Team

Charity Norman

founder, ceo

A first-generation college graduate from rural Pennsylvania, Charity earned her Communications degree from Cedarville University and her Masters in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. With more than twelve years of experience in major events and education, she has pioneered student success initiatives, including Welcome Week, New Student Orientation, and Fostering Futures–a scholarship program for aged-out youth. Charity co-founded Noon with her husband, Dustin, to provide immersive career training for young adults aging out of foster care and others with employment barriers. She oversees Noon’s operations, staff, and career development program, ensuring participants gain essential skills and job placement support.

Mona Keomisy

lead coordinator for events & marketing

Mona moved from Hawaii to Phoenix to pursue her Bachelors in Marketing and Masters in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. With four years of experience working alongside Charity to advance major events and education initiatives, she joined Noon during the launch phase and has become a key contributor to its mission. She brings a grounded yet creative spirit to the organization, combining impeccable attention to detail, marketing savvy, and island warmth to cultivate meaningful experiences for clients and staff. Mona oversees event logistics and social media operations, supports the career development program, and provides valuable input into client experience and strategic direction.

Xóchitl Galeana-Solís

event intern

Xóchitl is a Phoenix native who is passionate about seeing people come together and who enjoys creating beautiful moments for others. Her work with Noon allows her to bring ideas to life and see her part in making someone’s vision a reality. Learning to plan events has helped Xóchitl use her incredible creativity, and she sees herself growing as a communicator with her team. She enjoys cooking, music, and drawing in her free time and hopes to start a tattooing business or explore dog health and training in the future.

Aryunnah O’Neal

Event & social media Intern

Ary was raised in Louisiana and enjoys working at Noon for the chance to grow both personally and professionally. She is developing skills in creativity, organization, and professionalism—especially learning to be more adaptable and thoughtful when working with others. Ary is excited to continue learning how to plan and organize social events from start to finish. In her free time, she enjoys reading and anything related to arts & crafts, and is exploring opportunities to sell her delicious fresh-baked desserts.

Shamone Scarlett

Event Intern

Originally from Queens, New York, Shamone brings a lifelong passion for music to every aspect of her work. Since joining Noon, she has seen growth in her organizational skills and has thrived in the supportive, collaborative environment. Shamone fills the room with song during event setup, and she values the opportunity to contribute to the team and the meaningful events Noon coordinates. She is especially excited to help bring upcoming weddings to life, and would like to explore real estate as a future career.

Career Development

After our two-year program, students graduate with valuable, multifaceted experience and are ready for full-time work. This internship-style program includes three key training strategies: Intensive, Immersive, and Integrative training.

INTENSIVE TRAINING

Classroom-style training courses designed to build team community, set expectations, and develop skills.

Our program includes two intensive training courses: an intro course when they first enroll and a skills course after the first year.

IMMERSIVE TRAINING

Hands-on experience in a live event environment, designed for students to practice skills and broaden career experience.

Students learn by working actual events. They begin as Event Crew and work their way up to Event Coordinator.

INTEGRATIVE TRAINING

Periodic sessions designed to close out the program and prepare students for finding and beginning their new career.

Sessions include resume writing, interviewing, shopping for professional attire, and an annual career fair hosted by Noon Phoenix.
